Mark was a director of Special Libraries Cataloguing, Inc. where he provided technical services and computer support.
His interests included computer programming, role-playing computer games, reading, movies, and space exploration and colonization.
Mark was a member of the Living Universe Foundation, Vancouver Island Chapter, the Planetary Society and was a founding member of the Web Enthusiasts Association of Victoria.
